Several government agencies have the capacity to access space-based data and generate information. Taking note of the institutional mandates and arrangements and following examples from other countries in Latin America, CNE should establish an inter-institutional group that focuses on the processing of satellite imagery to generate relevant information.

Cameroon is exposed to floods in the far north, landslides in the western mountainous regions and to carbon dioxide emissions from the bottom of Lake Nyos likely to cause explosions.

To better present information to decision makers in case of emergency response, geo -viewers, such as the one developed by Esri, could be very useful to display information regarding the impacts of the event and additional layers.
