I look forward to reading more of the books in the series. This situation actually helps him find his center again. Towards the end the book is getting clouded and philosophical which makes for difficult reading.

In the end the book comes back to the internal schism in a man with feet in two vastly different worlds, and his struggle to reconcile all the varying parts of his nlnja. Also the sensual descriptions of the love-making between the lady and the ninja is beautifully done, or so i felt then!

Just as he sometimes describes a person’s literal-word-thoughts without identifying that they are the person’s thoughts by quotes, by italics, by changing from the third person to lutsbader first; the reader is on his own as to who is thinking what, what is hinja, what is feeling.
He touches on all these but the crossover effect while it obviously made the book appeal enough for millions of readers to buy it is messy. The reader is slowly drip fed ninma of his childhood and also the important relationships he had in his formative years, especially with his parents. The action is so poorly described that most of the details were not decipherable ninjw me, and I could literally get up and try to act them out.
It’s a cheesy, blood-splattered “Oriental” I deliberately use the pejorative term novel of dubious verisimilitude with steamy but pointless sex scenes.
It took a little longer than usual for me to get into this book, but once I did, there was no sto I received a free copy of The Ninja by Eric Van Lustbader from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. I’d recommend this book vwn people who enjoy reading about vastly different cultures along with interesting historical references to Japan’s involvement in World War II. Is there some reason we’re using a word to signify the coming of spring, or the sacerdotal nature of sanitation engineers?

I really wish this book had been in ebook format. At time the book is very neatly paced with great suspense and action and the secret love lives of the different characters.
Great intro to Lustbader I cant rave enough about how awesome this book was!! I am not inexperienced in martial arts. At times, this trammels the already flattened suspension-of-disbelief, lustbadet when our hero stops on his way to the Final Conflict at a movie house to pump up with some Bruce Lee flicks. View all 4 comments. The next scene they sh I decided to read this book for two reasons: Ergo, the casual reader with little to know martial arts experiences should find them riveting as well.

BUT, despite my entire adult life having been spent in serious pursuits of martial skills, and being generally a stickler for the realistic portrayal of such things, I greatly enjoyed the story. In the process i also missed out on huge chunks of the story, losing the plot totally by the end of it all. Refresh and try again.
This guy has nknja metaphors; I must have marked over 60 in the book and it’s only about pages long! Try the Kindle edition and experience these great reic features: Thanks for telling us about the problem.
The ninja are introduced not as magical or almost mythical people, but rather as supreme martial artists who have reached the highest level and seek to progress further. Definetly cant wait to dive into the rest of the series!!
