True love is always a martyrdom: While Barsotti, now over ninety years old, gradually stopped writing and speaking, the pontificate of Benedict XVI affirmed “urbi et orbi” — with the authority of the successor of Peter — precisely those theses that the Tuscan priest had maintained throughout his entire life. The worker of peace cannot even be interested directly in an active mission, but ought to sow amongst others precious seed: St Francis ‘ Lauds of God.
The Beatitudes are found at the threshold of the New Testament: The ‘ chartula ‘ concludes with the name ‘Saviour’, bqrsotti is precisely the name of God made man for us.
